6 things that could go wrong on your wedding day

Tying the nuptial knot with the partner of your dream after so much considerations and preparations is indeed a big event and most make sure it's the best they can imagine. Couples, in most cases, hire the services of event planners and managers to make sure the event is properly planned and everyone goes home with evergreen memories.

There's a but here: no matter how wonderful a wedding event was planned, disappointments are bound to occur. We have put together a list of 6 things we believe you should look out for because they might cause funny (disappointing too) wedding disasters.
Let's get to it!

6. Low Capacity Venue

Planning weddings could get tedious especially when estimating the number of guests you'd be expecting. Sometimes, you get blown with the influx of people and even event managers find it hard to control the crowd but this isn't the case here. Failing to plan for a great number of guests can result to limited seating spaces, no gifts and meals for entertainment. It's advisable to restrict the event to only those invited or be ready to please a whole lot of people who might not be in your estimate.

5. Wedding Suit/ Gown Disappointment

While there's no greater disappointment, this is one that can leave you panicking especially when there's no ample time to get it fixed. Some couples have had to improvise on their weddings due to problems with their dressings ranging from; not the right size to not delivering at the appropriate time.
If you must go for tailored suits/gowns, get them ready and in perfect condition a reasonable period of time before the wedding to avoid a 'wedding day gone wrong story'.

4. Photography/ Video Coverage Flop

Pictures and videos are exciting must-haves for couples. They help to capture great moments and colourful memories that you and every other person (say, your kids) can look back to. It'll be heartbreaking to find out that after the whole event, the photographer just 'flashed' on you, your partner and your guests. Video coverages could also crash and this leads to painful scenarios one can barely imagine. Hire a skilled expert who has backup and retrieval strategies to avoid this.

3. Automobile Failure

Picture this: you're all dressed, waiting for the driver to come around and drive you to the venue of the wedding. Next thing is, you get a call telling you how the car developed a fault and probably you haven't got a back up plan.
Bizarre! This certainly could make things go wrong with your wedding. Think backup!

2. Food Hoarding

This is one of the funny things that could go wrong at weddings. Imagine paying a caterer to make exquisite dishes, hire ushers to get the dishes round and at the end of the day, the guests complain of not eating anything. Awful right?
The truth is; some individuals have uncultured mindsets and even after you pay for their services, they still hoard the food meant for entertaining the guests.

1. Poor Decorations

Many couples drop their jaws in disappointment immediately they step into their reception hall but because it's a "high day", they just let it slide but deep down, they nurse unsatisfactory thoughts. The guests also go home with a poor perception.

Wrapping Up

Disappointments most times can be avoided and your wedding can be that great event you imagine that'll leave a lasting impression on everyone who witnessed if you take these points into consideration and highlight the ways to go about them. Getting an experienced event planner should relieve couples of this burden as these professionals have the strategies to put things in place and give you the best -you are paying for the service so you don't deserve less.
