4 tips for writing romantic letters for your partner
There are many reasons people want to write romantic letters or messages to their loved ones, but they often can't bring themselves to write. Some will even say "Not everyone can write sweet lines".
Truly, not everyone is tagged 'a writer', but anyone, including you, can write romantic letters to their partners if they commit to it.
You've known them for a while, you know what to make him/her smile. The odds are in your favour.
Let's not get all lovey-dovey. Here are the four tips to help you cook up the perfect love epistle.
Be original
Chances are that you're reading this because you don't want to go for cards with clichés in them. Probably words like "You're the sunshine when my path grows dark" now bore you, and you're looking for a twist around it. The way out is to be original –be you.
Those cards are written with a general love theme. Some are even from the experience of the writer. We love differently, so capture your love for your partner in a way only you can. You can tell a short story, spice it with amusement. Nothing is better than reading a romantic experience shared with a lover.
Use descriptions your partner loves
Everyone wants to be complemented. We want to hear some words –words that describe us fondly. Pack your letter with those lovely words but avoid over using them. Use metaphors and similes also, but avoid clichés. "Your eyes are as gentle as a dove's" is a cliché. You can try something else like; "Your eyes are like the night sky with the greatest stars; it's crowned with light but still lowly". See the twist there?
Affirm your love

Keep it simple
Capturing what you feel towards that special someone in writing can make you go overboard sometimes, but it's almost the same as professing your love to them in person. There won't be need for much ambiguity if you'll be speaking the simple love language they understand.
So bring your descriptions down to the basics. Even if you're in a relationship with a poet, they'll admire the simple things more than writings immersed in literal complexity.
Wrapping up
There you have it –all you need to write a perfect love message for your partner. You don't need to wait for your anniversary or their birthday to tickle their fancies with romantic messages. Everyday is an anniversary! Give that special person a surprise today. Write them a super romantic letter.😉
